A beautiful and sentimental family shoot with the Yarbroughs on Loch Lomond
You know how life just sometimes brings you down an awesome path and leads you towards meeting amazing people who bring inspiration strength and that sense of well being into your life? Well, we can honestly say that meeting this beautiful family was one of those moments we thank our tiny business for. Without it, we would have never had the chance to hear their story, see their inner strength, strength and unity as a family and just how much they enjoy life despite hardships and loss.
This small business of ours pays the mortgage, the bills, daily life and provides for our son but my gosh is it ever fulfilling and my gosh it’s just so MUCH MORE than a job. I told myself from the get-go that I would run this business with my heart and soul and I am so happy we still do this and meet such wonderful people and create wonderful friendships with clients as well. Photos are so precious and if you can genuinely add in the experience they can mean so much more to people which we hope we did for the Yarbrough’s.
Michelle got in touch with us a wee while ago from Colorado as they were planning a family trip to Europe. A special date for them was falling on one of the days they were in Scotland and they wanted to create something special for it with us. Sadly, Michelle and Steven lost their baby boy Cody last year and Ian lost his brother. He would have been 1 on the 3rd of June which was the day we spent time with them capturing these special photos for them. They welcomed us into their family bubble for a few hours on such an important day… no words can express how honoured we were. We are in awe of you all and you truly are an inspiration to us. We cannot relate but when we try to it’s such an overwhelming feeling of despair that you wonder how you would ever get through it but seeing the three of you together, we now know that this is how you get through it and that IT CAN be done… together. You are such a beautiful family and couple. You clearly love each other and my god you guys rock at being parents to Ian. He is one amazing boy and we felt so privileged to have met you all.
As mentioned above we helped Michelle source some suppliers to realise her vision. HUGE thanks to Little Botanica who provided a beautiful bouquet and loose flowers to throw into the loch. Another HUGE thanks to Liggy’s cakes for the fun cake! It was rather tasty!
In addition to this, we have been so moved by the Yarbrough families strength that we have decided to donate all proceeds of this shoot to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland. If you wish to also donate to a good cause for all those wee ones fighting to live click here.
We hope you enjoy this selection of photos and enjoy this slideshow which we have put together.
