Couldn’t believe our luck when the Scottish weather delivered a sunny day for Alison and Alan’s wedding at Dumfries House! Was absolutely breathtaking as the light was hazy and soft which made for romantic photos which is our style of photography being natural and romantic photographers. Was really looking forward to this wedding. We met these two during Elaine and Ross’s wedding (check it out here on We Fell In Love!) We had such a blast with Elaine and Ross so knew right away that Alison and Alan would be amazing to work with and they were! Their engagement shoot in Luss was so easy going and relaxed and we had such a great time!
Alison and Alan booked our half day package so we caught up with the 2 of them just before the ceremony and stayed until after their speeches. I met with the girls at Alison’s childhood home which is an incredibly beautiful farm just outside of Carsphairn in Dumfries and Galloway. It was honestly jaw dropping beautiful and so perfect for photos before the ceremony. I snapped some of my favourite ever bridal images which on top of all of these photos am extremely excited to share with you all!
Now for a few questions for the Bride and Groom!
What was the most memorable part of your day?
“It’s difficult to choose. Walking in to the church and seeing everyone together in one room. Saying our vows. Driving from church to the reception feeling a bit giddy (possibly linked to prosecco..) The speeches. Lots of dancing. (And having a good old laugh with Scott and Chantal when we got our photos taken!)”
Did you leave on honeymoon right after? and where did you go?
“We set off the next day for a few days on Skye to recover! After 4 weeks back at work, we went to Vietnam and Thailand – it was a good way of stretching the wedding out a bit longer!”
