We love shooting destination weddings in Italy and Scotland! In the last 6 years of our business we have shot weddings and proposals in many beautiful worldwide destinations! From Italy, to Cyprus, to Canada and to Hawaii! It gives us a chance to fall in love with what the world has to offer out with our comfort zone and apply it to creating beautiful and unique photographs for the couple. We arrive a day or 2 before to get immersed in the culture, walk around and get familiar with the surroundings and where the wedding or shoot shall take place.
This gorgeous wedding I am sharing with you before took place in Malcesine on Lake Garda. “Malcesine is the main settlement along the narrow strip of flatter land on the eastern side of the lake running north from Garda through to Torbole and Riva del Garda. It is one of the most attractive settlements on the whole lake and has drawn writers and artists to admire the lovely setting and the relics of history in the town.” Find out a bit more about this beautiful location here! I absolutely adored photographing in this little lake side village. I brought my friend and lovely assistant Lauren with me for the weekend. She helped carry my things in the heat, kept me company and we got to enjoy some time to ourselves together before heading back home. No other country does food as good as the Italians! Even if you are not getting married I would highly recommend a visit to this wee gem of a place!
Christine and Bjorn were such a pleasure to work with along with their family and friends. Their small and intimate wedding planned by Italian Best Weddings seemed to be everything they ever wanted for their day. The love between these 2 was a joy to photograph along with the love of their children. I was overwhelmed with how clearly happy their son was. The joy and amazement in his eyes was so wonderful to witness and capture. In these moments I am always reminded just how special of a job I have capturing such precious memories for couples to look back on for the years to come. Also in terms of shooting in Italy nothing beats hearing the Italians cheer for the bride in groom while shouting “baci baci baci” which is “kiss kiss kiss”! Such an infectious lot they are!
