One thing I love doing when I head back over the pond in the search of family and childhood friends, hearty meals cooked by my mom, summer BBQs…. is photographing my friends families and also new people who have heard the good word about our work.

This family in particular was my best friend Ginette’s brother and his small family. I have known Rene since he was very young so to have the opportunity to create memories for his family was an absolute pleasure. We had my parents local neighbourhood park at our disposal for the session, Henteleff Park. Was an incredible day for a shoot!!

Scott and I head back to Winnipeg every year and hope to do more and more weddings and family shoots when we visit. I find myself to be more inspired and moved by my Canadian prairies background the longer I am away. To have the opportunity to shoot in incredible vast fields, forests filled with tall wild grass, white sandy beaches and to top it all off with such incredible light is a treat. I want more.
