Oh what a lovely venue you are for a wedding Kinkell Byre! Probably one of our favourite venues to shoot at so far and cannot wait to be there again!
We were absolutely over the moon when Mhairi and Matthew asked us to photograph their wedding day. Scott used to go to school with Mhairi so he has known her for quite a long time. I met Mhairi through our close friend Stephanie nearly 13 years ago now so I have known her for quite a while as well. It was definitely one of those extra special weddings to capture; not only for the fact we know Mhairi but also because she is the sweetest and loveliest person you will ever meet.
When I first met Matthew at the engagement shoot ; I knew right away they were made for each other. That sounds incredibly cheesy and cliche but they really are. The way they are together and look at each other would make someone who does not believe in soulmates believe in a heartbeat! For those of you who will read this wee blurb before scrolling through the photos you will see what I am speaking of.
The wedding day itself was just perfect from preps to the dancing in the eve. Everything flowed, the guests and everyone enjoyed themselves and most important of all Mhairi and Matthew were so immersed into their day enjoying every single moment to the fullest. It was an absolute joy to capture!
I asked Mhairi to answer this question…
What did you love most about your day?
I loved everything about the day really. On the morning of the wedding Matt surprised me with a ‘something blue’ sapphire and diamond ring. It was such a lovely way to start the day.
I then started the day with a walk in the sunshine with one of my bridesmaids which really helped me to chill out.
I loved every minute of the day I spent with Matt. We had so much fun, some emotional moments but mostly we laughed all day, and danced all night.
My cousin sang an adaptation of me and Mrs Jones which was hilarious. It felt like a giant family party, everyone was relaxed and just had fun which is exactly what I wanted for the day
I don’t think she could of said it any better! What a great idea to have gone for a lovely walk in the morning! Love it.
We cannot thank you both enough for asking us to capture this day for you! We enjoyed every second.
Enjoy the photos!
