It’s been a long time coming for Scott and I to have our wee Louie. Scott & I have been married for 12 years now! yeah shocking we are getting old…SCARY!!! So lets just say last year was an exciting and new one for us with all the ups and downs of pregnancy and working an insane amount of weddings whilst heavily pregnant but I would not change it for the world. The culminating excitement to meeting your own little baby at then end of it is one of the most incredible experience in the world! I can still remember the feeling I had when I saw those 2 blue lines back in January of 2015, I will always remember exactly where I was when he first tickled me when I felt him for real for the first time, when he kicked and squirmed around (and he is still a squirmer), when I cried the moment I heard his heart beat for the first time, and finally when I shared the experience of birth with him. Scott and I practiced hypno birthing for the last month before he came into the world. I cannot thank Roseann at Glasgow HypnoBirthing enough for the gift she gave us. I was starting to have panic attacks remembering Tristan’s birth and within our first class I felt positive and reassured. I was looking forward to going into labour. Yes I know! Crazy but it’s the truth. It was such an amazing and crazy experience to go through it without drugs. I was aware of every moment, and remember them (well most!). Yes I have a crazy pelvis and he got stuck (as did Tristan which resulted in a forceps delivery) but I was determined when I saw a doctor walk in, I persevered and we will always have that moment because I was fully aware & hell bent on keeping those forceps away. I would do it all over again instead of going to the dentist (I actually said this shortly after he was born, have a MEGA fear of going to sit in that darned chair). He entered the world to a song which I loved and added onto my hypno birthing play list “Pie Jesu”. I don’t think I shall ever be able to hear that song again without transporting me right back to when my wee Louie bear entered our world and made it crazy perfect. No word can even describe how much he is loved…and I am tearing up just thinking about it soooo here is part 1 of our adventure with our wee Louie!
I am being brave and including some shots Scott snapped of our labour. Swollen Louie from getting stuck!
Adore this photo taken by our friend Kristin!!
Louie was very wrinkly! I actually asked the midwife if he’d be left with some due to how pronounced they were! Yes I am a bit crazy

Louie’s first Christmas. He got an insane amount of Amazon gifts from his nana and pepere Lachance and his adopted Scottish aunts and uncles (our closest friends)! I got him and Scott things in the Black Friday sale! I literally wrapped the smallest of things (even wine bottles for friends) to bulk up the tree. The bag we have for him I am sure every parent took advantage of that Groupon deal as was in a lot of facebook posts over Christmas! His decoration from Not on the High Street made me cry…
Spent Hogmanay with our closest friends! Was such a laugh but I clonked out shortly after the bells…think was a premonition of things to come!
