The sweetness that is little Archie in his lifestyle newborn session.

So excited to share with you all this gorgeous newborn lifestyle session which we travelled up to Dundee to photograph.

Sophie got in touch with me ages ago whilst she was still pregnant to organise this shoot. Originally I was meant to photograph wee Archie’s birth but the stars did no align weather wise and sickness wise on our end for me to get up to Dundee. Nevertheless, I could not wait to meet the wee fellow, Sophie, Martin and Hugo their dog.

We kept in touch and got to know each other over the months since the initial enquiry so it really was great to finally meet them and we also brought Louie along for the ride. He adored running up and down the stairs (which we don’t have) and eating Sophie’s homebaked lemon ricotta cake.

I can honestly say that meeting clients such as these ones and others in the past which we have kept in touch with and call friends is one of the greatest highlights of our job. It can be such a social job and when you are photographing what feels like friends it really does make it easier to capture a bit deeper into the shoot and deliver relaxed, easygoing and emotional photos.
