When 2 fellow Canadians elope in Glasgow you know it will be good and it smashed all my expectations! Absolutely adored capturing this and so happy to share it with you all today. Sabina and Sean came all the way from Ontario to make promises to each other for life. From the proposal in the half built home Sean built for them to the actual moment of becoming man and wife; it really is a romantic story from beginning to end.

We had the honour of capturing these photos for them. Perhaps those which will grace the walls of their new home. We also had the honour of being witnesses.

There is something so intimate and powerful when two people decide to leave all that we perceive as a modern day wedding behind and just go at it alone. The raw emotions and knowing that they are so in love that they are just as happy to just be them without anyone else infringing on their moment. I am not saying that small to big weddings are not special nor am I saying that guests are infringing upon a special moment between the couple…I am just saying that there is something about an elopement that makes it so romantic in a different and more intimate way.

Following their ceremony we spent time walking the streets of Glasgow, enjoying the sunshine and letting them breathe and take in the fact they they were now husband and wife. I love what we captured for them. I hope you will too!
