Sharing with you all today this lovely summer wedding at Glenbervie. Rachael and Ashley probably one of our youngest couple to marry! Scott and I married very young so was lovely to be present for this wedding and seeing it from the other side.
Our day with these two actually started off quite locally for us in Newton Mearns then onto Glenbervie House Hotel for the reception. They had a grey and muggy day but not much rain. However that little sprinkle of rain was lovely as there is a saying here in Scotland which is “lucky the bride the rain falls on”.
Weddings are so much more than the dress, the venue, what the weather will be like; it is about loved ones sharing in a couples happiness and joy. Rachael and Ashley were celebrated by family and friends who came from near and far and as far as Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada where I am from. I remember thinking this was so fun when she mentioned it to us while we got to know them after they booked us. However I was not prepared to know one of her guests! In my last job before moving to Scotland I worked with her aunt in the same office. Never would I have thought I would bump into her at a wedding in Scotland 8 years on! Love this world we live in. Never a dull moment!
Speaking of dull moments, of course at a wedding there are none as it is such a happy occasion but I do have to give props to Rachael’s and Ashley’s family and friends for being EPIC dancers!! Those moves on the dance floor from everyone were such fun to photograph.
Without further ado we shall leave you to look through some of our favourite photos of their day. Wishing a lifetime of fun, laughter, epic dancing and love to the happy couple!!
