Sharing this beautiful wintertime wedding at Dunglass Estate with you all.
Louise and Craig contacted us before they even booked their venue. To a photographer this is the highest of compliments so thanking you both very much. We absolutely adored spending the day with you all and your guests channeling some far flung tropical island to ignore that bitter cold. I cannot express to you all just how cold it was and these two rocked staying out in it as long as they could as they wanted the photos. Massive thumbs up in our books!
As you can see in the photos snow covered the ground which was perfect for their winter/Christmas theme. As there is no heat in the abbey guests were provided with hot water bottles and wool blankets for the ceremony. Absolutely loved this idea! How fun and in keeping with the whole feeling of the day. There were other Christmas touches like the Christmas ornament for the ladies as wedding favours, warm apple pie for each table as desert to share, cozy and snug feeling around the fireplace in the estate where guests mingled. Their cat Oscar even participated in the festivities by being present on the day. Such a sweet gesture.
For winter and Christmas lovers I would say this would be a dream of a wedding. The weather, the sparkling of the ice particles in the sunlight, that light and that warm cozy feeling despite the cold! Amazing! These 2 love winter so I am sure it was all they had ever hoped for and they even topped it off with a honeymoon to Iceland.
Wishing you both a lifetime of many adventures, joy, happiness and love!
