Alex and Nick tied the knot on the most beautiful sunny summer’s day at the incredible Murthly Castle Estate in Perthshire — and what a day it was. They were surrounded by family and friends who had travelled from England, Ireland plus even further afield, which we feel made their wedding feel like one huge celebration from beginning to end. Plus, the atmosphere was relaxed, joyful and completely centred around what matters most: having the best time with the people you love. This is how it should always be.
Some of the little bits that made the day what it was…
Alex , the bride was the definition of a laid-back bride — calm, fun and while fully soaking in every moment of the day. From the morning preparations through to the dance floor, there was an effortless energy to everything, with so much laughter, fun and genuine happiness all around.
And speaking of laughter… we have to mention the Father of the Groom’s speech. In our 16 years of photographing weddings, we can honestly say it was one of — if not the — funniest speeches we have ever witnessed. There were absolute tears of laughter from start to finish. We’re not even exaggerating when we say we’d happily pay to see him do stand-up comedy!
We have to say, Murthly Castle provided the most incredible backdrop for such a special celebration. Between the sunshine, the stunning surroundings and the wonderful atmosphere created by Alex and Nick’s family and friends, it truly was a joy to photograph.
Finally, just some extra appreciation…
A huge thank you as well to the amazing Joann Scott Weddings for recommending us — we’re so grateful. It was such a privilege to capture this beautiful wedding and be part of such an unforgettable day.
Alex & Nick — thank you for having us. What a wedding, what a crowd, and what memories to look back on.
