Autumn wedding at Mar Hall

Sarah and James had such a beautiful day for their autumn wedding at Mar Hall. The sun was shining (except for the occasional spit of rain of course…it is Scotland after all!), it was warm and the colours were absolutely stunning!!! I couldn’t calm my excitement down from the very start! Love those days where Scotland just pulls it out of the bag and delivers with this kind of weather especially for such an awesome couple! We’ve had such a blast with these 2! Meeting up for wedding chat and a drink in the first instance then organising and heading off to Biggar to do their pre wedding shoot! Spent an awesome couple of hours walking up a forestry path on yet another gorgeous day with their little dog! Also got to see the spot where James proposed to Sarah. It’s these added moments which I love about this job. Every time we head out with a couple we create memories for them to keep but we also have a good social outing from it as well which allows us to get to know our couples better for the big day. This way on the day itself its that much more relaxed and fun and it definitely was just that.

* The shoes…need I say more! Louboutin’s and Toms!! thumbs up to both

* The most adorable nephew ever!! He even took over the speeches with his cuteness and got some proper awwww’s with his wee giggle

* The carefree and laid back feeling of the whole day itself!

I asked Sarah and James a few questions to delve into their day a bit more…

What was the most exciting bit about getting married?

“just before we walked into the marquee for dinner knowing everyone was waiting for the new Mr and Mrs tawse!”

What was the most special part of the day?

“walking back down the aisle after the ceremony after getting married waving at all our friends and family!”
