Boturich Castle, Natural wedding photographers Glasgow

A Boturich Castle wedding is a beautiful thing. Honestly I have to say we just loved this venue. It ticks so many boxes and it surpassed our expectations for James and Abby’s big day!

We met James and Abby what seems like a lifetime ago now. We had a great time getting to know each other and getting some great shots of them in the west end of Glasgow. Check out the photo shoot here! Was great to see their wedding day come around and what an amazing day they had. Close family and friends made the trip from California, the sun was shining for them which allowed them to have an outdoor ceremony with panoramic view of Loch Lomond. Not sure if it can get any more romantic then that!

I asked Abby and James a few questions and this is what she said…

What was the funnest thing about planning your wedding?

“The most fun in planning our wedding for me was getting to be a bit creative. Being a (boring) accountant I don’t get to use my creative side very often! James says that if the stag do isn’t considered wedding ‘planning’ he’d have to say the menu tasting was his favourite part”

Did anything exceed your expectations?

“Many things exceeded our expectations for the wedding day. Being able to have sunny skies and the ceremony outside was something I thought I’d only be able to dream about happening…it is Scotland after all! Besides the weather, it was great to see just how well my American family and friends got along with our local family and friends, and of course how well they could ceilidh dance”

What was your favorite moment on the day?

“It is so hard to choose a favourite moment from the wedding day itself. If I had to pick, there was a moment just after the ceremony when both sets of our parents and the wedding party were in the reception area with us. We toasted to our marriage and James’ dad gave me a big hug to welcome me to the family”
