An elegant Broxmouth park wedding
Yet another beauty of a wedding we did in summer of 2014 and to add onto my excitement a Broxmouth Park Wedding. This venue was on my “would love to shoot at” list! It looked incredible and it did not disappoint. I adore everything about it and cannot wait to capture another couples wedding here again in the near future **fingers and toes crossed**.
The day itself was yet another gorgeous summers day in Scotland. July was a great month for good weather in 2014. We could not have been happier about this. Walking into the house and having such beautiful interiors as a backdrop for prep shots started the day off with an absolute high. The day just got better and better from there to the thoughtful wedding gifts exchanged between them, the beautiful ceremony at Leila’s families church, to a seaside stop for photos and the beautiful grounds to use for their photo session, to the selfie group shot (thumbs up to Sam for suggesting!) to the rest of the evenings festivities! Never mind Leila’s beautiful wedding gown andRachel Simpson shoes, the details were just absolutely breathtaking from beginning to end.
I asked Leila and Sam a few questions to get a bit of insight on what they loved about their wedding day!
What was the most special part of the day?
The lasting memory that captures the magic of the whole day for us was, after being beaten up during the obligatory end of night Loch Lomond stampede, the band surprising us by playing one last song – One Day Like This by Elbow. Sam and I had a close slow dance together just absorbing the atmosphere with all of our friends and family around us. That moment will be frozen in time with us forever.
Is there something on the day which surprised you?
The weather! Scotland really pulled through! Aside from that – Sam’s genious idea to take a “Wedding Selfie”. After the group shot where we were at the top of a winding staircase, we turned around and took a picture of ourselves with all the wedding party in the background. The picture is epic!
I definitely agree with them that the photo is epic! Probably one of the best selfies out there!
