Joey and Eddie got married at the Turnberry Hotel on what was probably the hottest day last year in 2014! The day was absolutely glorious from beginning to end. I remember thinking at one point if I was actually in Scotland, and I think a few guests left with sunburns by the end of the night. I felt like I was shooting a destination wedding.

We’ve had known these 2 for a few years on and off before their wedding day even came around. First of all they were in the wedding party at a gorgeous wedding we did on Loch Lomond over 2 years ago. We were so incredibly honoured when they got in touch to chat about their own wedding! We’ve shared some good times with them & their dog Meatball, which includes a few hours at New Lanark Mill for their pre wedding shoot and obviously their wedding day. We had such a blast capturing the big day on the other side of the lens and we can’t thank them enough! Some of my highlights….the sun shining…the bridal prep room…photographing 2 dresses…the veil…little Meatball in her bridesmaid dress…the ceremony with views of Ailsa Craig…the laughs we had during the group shots…our photo session at the light house…sunset photos and finally photobooth antics! what a laugh! what a grand day!

I asked Joey a few questions and here is how they answered:

Is there something about the big day that surprised you?

Joey ~ “surprise was the video of my mum and dad on the projector”

Eddie ~ “no surprises for me as I planned the wedding”

What was the most memorable part of the day?

Joey ~ “the most memorable moment was Eddie and I walked out on the aisle as a couple”

Eddie ~ ” the most memorable moment for me was when Joey first walked out in her white dress”
