A City Venue That Just Felt Right
Glasgow has a way of making everything feel alive, and Jen and Aron’s wedding day was no exception. On a sun-drenched afternoon in the heart of the city, these two said their vows at The Exchange Glasgow, a venue that felt made for them. The styling was sharp, warm, and full of personality, perfectly in step with the city’s unmistakable energy.

A Bride in Her Element
From the very first moment of the morning, the day had a beautiful momentum. Jen took to being a bride like she had been waiting for this her whole life, radiating pure joy in every single frame. There were no nerves, no second-guessing, just a woman completely in her element, and photographing that kind of presence is one of the great privileges of this job. Aron equalled that energy as well, with that infectious smile and endless positivity. These two are definitely made for each other.
Words & Advice from the couple
“Booking an engagement shoot was one of the best decisions we made. Getting to know the Gibsons beforehand meant that by the time the big day arrived, being in front of a camera already felt totally natural. You can’t put a price on that. ( Pop over to our engagement post here! )
What really stood out on the day was their artistic flair. They tried some different shots that, honestly, we might not have thought to ask for ourselves, and they were so, so worth it. We trusted them completely, and they delivered.
That trust was the key to everything, actually. We’d shared all our instructions, requirements and hopes well in advance, and then we just… let them get on with it. What that gave us on the day was the freedom to fully relax, laugh and enjoy ourselves. There was no clock-watching, no worrying. We were just present.
If we could pass one thing on to other couples, it would be this: don’t try to please everyone — in fact, don’t try to please anyone other than each other. Your wedding is about the two of you, but it’s so easy to be absorbed by getting it perfect for friends and family or to do things simply because it’s what you’re ‘supposed to do’. Surround yourselves with a wedding party and suppliers who are there for you and who fix problems rather than cause them; the day will take care of itself. The Gibsons are absolutely those kind of people, and we’ll forever be grateful to them for helping us to create such a memorable day. 🤍 “

The Moment the Ring Would Not Budge
Of course, a truly memorable wedding always comes with its stories, and this one delivered. During the ceremony, one of the guests discovered that the ring had been taped a little too enthusiastically to the bottom of the chair. Cue a brilliantly tense few seconds of tugging and laughter before the ring was finally freed. These are the moments that no amount of planning can script, and they are always the ones that get retold for years.

A Quaich with a Twist
Then there was the Quaich moment, a traditional Scottish wedding ritual in which the couple shares a drink as a symbol of their union. Whisky is the classic choice, but Jen and Aron had their own ideas. Rather than a straight pour, they went full cocktail hour with it, mixing their drink right there and then. It was playful, personal, and entirely them.

Nighttime in Royal Exchange Square
As the evening settled in, Royal Exchange Square offered something truly special. The architecture and the warm glow of the city at night created a backdrop that felt almost cinematic. The light was gorgeous, the square was lively, and the couple were still glowing from the best day of their lives. Those night shots were some of my favourites from the entire day. Not only this, but the reception area of The Exchange matched the vibe perfectly for some cosy photos to end the night.

Here’s to You, Jen and Aron!
Your day was full of laughter, love, and just the right amount of beautiful chaos. Glasgow looked great, but honestly, so did you! Thanks for having us.
