Christina and Pete married back last June and boy was it EPIC, such a beautiful, heartfelt and romantic wedding at Solsgirth house. I cried twice that day…I was pregnant though but still it was an emotionally packed day! These two are one one of the most sweetest couple we know and such genuinely lovely people! We had such an incredible few years getting to know them on the run up to their day. I guess they felt the same about us as they got us a few things which Christina wanted me to open in front of her on her wedding day…that was a first and the gift was so personal and thoughtful that is was impossible not to cry. It was an absolute pleasure to be present at their ceremony, not only capturing memories of it for them but also mentally present as it was such a personal and beautiful ceremony. There weren’t many dry eyes in the room. You could feel the love between them so much.
As mentioned above we met these 2 almost 2 years ago over a coffee in Costa on Princes Street in Edinburgh when the Christmas Market was out. Had such a great time getting to know them and the season just added to our wee jaunt through to Edinburgh. We were over the moon they decided to book us! I just knew it would be an incredible wedding. Christina is also an artist, an incredibly talented dancer. You may remember these two if you had a look at this blog, or you may remember a few photos from the shoot posted on our facebook page. We had such a great time that evening just walking down to the beach getting some natural photos of the 2 of them and then ending up with a coloured powder bomb fight! Such a fun evening!
I have to say there were so many touches to the day which made it unique to them and who they are individually and as a couple. I love Christina’s boho, artistic style which she brought through in her hand made and designed for her jewellery by ByMi. The pieces were so beautiful and delicate. The dress was insanely gorgeous which showed off her incredible figure as a dancer. When it came to Pete, I loved that they weren’t set on one tartan for him and his groomsmen. Loved that they were all wearing a different one. I had never seen this before but it worked. Leaving the details behind for me what stood out was their ceremony as mentioned above. It was personalised with guitar playing, singing and they had their minister marry them. He was such a great speaker and had everyones eyes on them and what the whole meaning of a wedding day is. It was incredible. Last but not least Christina choreographed a beautiful contemporary dance piece as a surprise for her husband at the end of the night. She was so beautiful to watch and to have gifted that to her husband was so incredibly special. This twosome are just made for each other and to have had the honour to create beautiful, natural and romantic photos of their journey has been an honour!
Lots of Love
