The beginning of April last year brought us glorious weather…perfect for a romantic springtime wedding in St-Andrews in the square! I always love the cherry blossom’s out and about Glasgow in April and May. Was incredible to be able to use them for some of Jonathan and Nicola’s wedding.
As always I go to capture the girls preps and Scott goes to the lads. It’s always a plus when I get to work alongside the girls from my talented friend Laura Gray’s team. These ladies truly know how to put everyone at ease and in a relaxed mood! plus they always make sure everyone is on time. Massive thumbs up from me on this one!! Was also an absolute treat to work alongside Andrew from Erin Rose Films! Setting aside people who are amazing to work with it’s always great to get to capture pretty things behind the lens! like Lisa at Sparrow and Rose‘s floral bouquets…sigh…and Rachel Simpson shoes ( in love with this line of shoes!!! ) So taking in all these things mentioned above, throw in an amazing Glasgow venue, St-Andrews in the Square, a gorgeous day, Cherry Blossom’s galore, stopping for an ice cream cone, cool brick walls, an awesome photo bomb!, fairy lights and last but not least an amazing couple…it’s easy for us to fall in love with it all and have an absolute ball capturing their images. It was such an romantic day which was perfect for us as our style is soft and natural using loads of natural light!
I asked Jonathan and Nicola a few questions…
On the lead up to the wedding what was the part of the day you were looking forward to the most?
“It was getting to share the special day with friends and family celebrating a big occasion!”
And, did your day exceed all your expectations?
“To say the day exceeded our expectations is an understatement! We had the best wedding suppliers that made sure everything came together, nothing went wrong and we could relax and enjoy our day with our guests and we wish we could experience the day all over again! Was such a happy and fun day!”
