You may have heard of this couple and their big competition win at Arta in the Merchant city, Glasgow. Susan and Al won We Fell In Love’s wedding competition. An insanely fantastic prize to win! I thought since this wedding was quite different from the get go that I would chat to them about doing a First Look. I couldn’t of been any happier when they said they were up for it. In fact here is what Susan had to say about their thoughts on doing this.
“When Chantal suggested the “first look” neither myself nor my fiancé had heard of it before! When Chantal explained what it involved, an intimate meeting before your wedding, with just you and your partner, to see each other for the first time and share a special moment captured on camera – we knew it was right for us. It’s so romantic, and on a day when you will be so busy with your wedding guests, it gives you a special moment together. It helped both of us with our nerves before the ceremony, and it works on a practical level too – it means you can get some additional gorgeous pictures which won’t take time away from time with your guests later on, and you could even use a different location for variety. We’re both really glad we did it, and would recommend the ‘first look’ to anyone who’s thinking about it!”
We got on from the get go with these two. We have shared some funny times together when we got locked in Mugdock Park with our cars during the engagement shoot. Ooops! Eaten alive by midges and 2 hours later we managed to get a signal and call a taxi but we had to go back the next day to get our cars. Thanks again for the lift guys hehe! Needless to say we felt like we had gotten to know them really well so when the wedding day came around there was an extra wee buzz about it. Have a peek here. The day could not have gone more smoothly and I think the First look helped with that. They had expressed that spending time with their guests was one of the most important things and they certainly had a lot more time with them by doing it this way.
