A beautiful autumn wedding at Crossbasket Castle
We could not wait to photograph at this venue and boy did it not disappoint. This was our second wedding at this beautiful venue after photographing there for the first time in September for Emily and Douglas’s wedding.
Pamela and Stuart had such a calm and perfectly beautiful and warm autumn day which one could only hope for heading into colder weather. October truly is an incredible time of year to get married in anywhere in the world but I have to say Scotland has an edge with its beautiful scenery teamed with orange, yellow and red leaves.
Wee word of advice…
Try and get married in the season you love the most. This is one sure trick to get the most out of what you ever dreamed of for your big day.
Crossbasket Castle is certainly one of those venues beautiful in any season as are a lot of venues around Scotland. We are extremely lucky.
Pamela and Stuart had an incredibly tight-knit circle of family and friends in attendance for their wedding day. Pamela sadly lost her mother the year before so to be in the presence of those who mattered most would have given her that extra bit of strength. However, I have to say that this girl was already full of strength on her own and it was inspiring. Despite such hardship beforehand she was present in every way possible on the day. In happiness, excitement and sadness, strength and last but not least love for the man to be her husband, Stuart. Assisted by some of her mother’s ashes which were placed in a beautiful something blue ring, Pamela even made the choice as a strong and independent woman walking down the aisle to Stuart on her own which was awe-inspiring. Stuart you have one special woman/wife at your side.
Which leads me to a final bit of advice, always march to the beat of your own drum and what feels best to you both on your wedding day.
