Every year since I have started my adventure in wedding photography I have been lucky to shoot weddings abroad, and last years destination was a bohemian wedding in Mexico! DREAM COME TRUE! I had never been to Mexico and being Canadian that is quite unusual as all Canadians vacation in Mexico at one point in their lives. Since I was in Canada at the start of the year and the wedding was at the end of January I made a holiday out of it with my mom, who also was my lovely assistant on the day!

During my week in Mexico it was an absolute treat to get to know LeeAnne and Fraser’s family and close friends. My mom and I felt so welcome on the day which kept the wedding intimate. The wedding took place at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum hotel on the beach. We spent the whole day from preps to dancing in the evening with them, even sharing their wedding meal along with their guests. Thank you so much for making us feel like a part of your day. I also thank you for giving me the opportunity to shoot your special day in which was an absolute tropical paradise! To photograph such a gorgeous wedding, with such incredible details, light, scenery and people was an absolute treat! Being a destination wedding photographer is definitely a massive benefit of capturing a couples wedding day!

As usual here is a bit of info from the bride and grooms viewpoint…

Why the Riviera Maya?

“We chose Riviera Maya in Mexico for the culture, beaches & the fact there is so much to do. We were thinking of our guests travelling for the wedding and the fact it was their holiday too so we wanted somewhere with plenty of activities”

What was the most special part of the day?

“The ceremony was the most special part of the day for both of us, me walking down the aisle to our chosen song with the sand under my feet & the amazing, secluded area we had on the beach, not forgetting all our closest watching on”
