A small and intimate wedding in the Scottish Highlands
When your other half is from New Zeland and some of his family and friends travel all the way over for your wedding day you most definitely wish even harder for good weather! So glad to say Suzanne and Graham had a glorious day.
Teamed with good weather this beautiful venue, Glentruim Estate is nestled in such a picturesque location with access to incredible views of The Cairngorms. It was an absolute treat to photograph their wedding and we hope to be back at this venue one day soon.
As of this blog post, I think I will touch on some of my favourite three things which took place on the day or about the whole wedding itself. Every wedding is special for a different reason and I think letting you know about the extra awesome bits will make scrolling through these photos even nicer. So here goes!
What special things stood out to us during this wedding?
- We adored the beautiful chapel which is on the estate and a short walk away from the house. It is beautiful in its simplicity and perfect for decorating it the way you want for your wedding day.
- Suzanne’s aunt cooked dinner and took care of us in between courses. She was so incredibly busy yet made sure that we were fed which to us is a sign of a good caterer! Caring is king in our books and we always feel these caterers will go above and beyond for you.
- Graham’s brother’s speech. I loved that he put Maori words into it, teaching us all the significance of them and just how much they mean. Like Aroha (love) and Whanau (family. It was such a lovely touch.
We hope you enjoyed going through these photos. Here is a list of the Scottish wedding suppliers used for their wedding day.
