Bringing you this beautiful windswept wedding at Portavadie Marina wedding today! Don’t think we could have asked for a more beautiful day for Elidh and Ian! The sun was shining, the weather kept up with a small rain shower for good luck (and atmospheric photos!).
This wedding was one of those weddings where we felt like part of the family! We always feel welcome but sometimes you just feel that extra special. We were welcomed with open arms by them all, especially Eilidh’s mom who is an absolute sweetheart and took extra good care of us! It does go a long way when you truly appreciate and respect your photographers!
Not only was their families amazing but the staff at Portavadie Marina are so awesome, helpful and also made sure we were taken care of.
However, coming back to the main reason for this wedding…the wedding couple of course! Eilidh and Ian wanted to spend time together away from their guests for a while so we were able to capture some incredible atmospheric and fun photos with them without rushing back. We always aim to get our couples to enjoy their guests, and they did as well but we had a bit of extra time for photos which is always a bonus!
Getting that extra time allowed us to go on a boat ride. I thought yes this will be such a good photo opportunity! Never did I think that Eilidh had a wild side and would take hold of the wheel! I don’t think there was ever a photographer who screamed so loud and could be heard over the boat motor all the way to the venue! What a laugh! Scary at the time…hell yes! However well worth it and something I will always remember and laugh about.
