Wedding Coo Cathedral…a wee taster!

Sharing this gorgeous springtime wedding we shot at Coo Cathedral earlier this month up in Aberdeenshire. Jennifer and Alasdair chose 3 great venues for their wedding! Elsick house for the girls preparations, Aberdeen University Chapel for the ceremony and then onto Coo Cathedral for the evening reception. All 3 probably on my favourites list now! Absolutely adored being a part of their wedding day! I know I say this a lot but it’s always amazing to feel a part of it all and not just the photographers! Had an absolute ball with everyone!

On top of feeling welcomed the soft colours and romantic feel to the whole day went hand and hand with our fine art and natural way of capturing memories as photographers. Everything was well thought out from beginning to end. From the light and character of Elsick house in the morning, to the beauty of the chapel at Aberdeen University and last but not least the grandeur of Coo Cathedral which is a photographers dream!! It’s filled with light AND for me the stone wall with the sea foam green door just sealed the deal for me!! Ah-Ma-Zing!!! I cannot wait and do hope to shoot at this venue again. Looking forward to photographing a wedding at Elsick house this September as well! Besides me loving all of the light and soft romantic colours of their day can I just mention Jennifer’s dress?! it had pockets!! Yes pockets! Adored it! What a beautiful dress by Joyce Young. In addition the land rovers were pretty darn cool along with the Harry Potter theme, I mean who does not enjoy Harry Potter? Jennifer and Alasdair also had his her hers cocktails for guests before the wedding breakfast while enjoying canapes. Such a lovely touch!
