I adore fall and even more a fall wedding which is exactly when Claire and Adam’s Glasgow city wedding took place. Preps started off in Glasgow city centre which was a great opportunity to get the cities sky scape in! It looked so dramatic due to the changing weather… proper Scottish weather! Loved the contrast between where the preps took place and the rest of the day which happened to be at one of my most favourite local venues, Pollokshields Burgh Halls. It’s one of those blank canvas venues which allows couples to style to their hearts content! Perfect for those Pinterest loving brides! It’s also an absolutely beautiful setting in any season.
I’ve adored the whole journey with these 2! Claire had sent me a wee note in the post including an inspiration board of what she wanted for her big day. A girl after my own heart. I love being involved with the whole planning process with our couples. Makes us feel that much more a part of the day and not just photographers showing up to take photos. It makes us feel welcome which in turn gives us more creative freedom. We also spent a lovely afternoon with them in Dunblane for their enagagement shoot. Have a look here.
As always here is some inside info on what Claire and Adam thought of their day…
What was the most amazing part about getting married?
“Having all our friends and family in one place which is a real treat for us now that we live far away from home. We wanted the whole day to feel quite lighthearted and relaxed and I think that was exactly how it was – like old friends catching up on the gossip. We didn’t want to go home at the end of the night we were enjoying it so much so we went clubbing afterwards too! (yes, in the dress)”
Was your honeymoon as incredible as you had planned it to be? where did you go?
“We went to Bali. What an amazing place that is – full of culture, amazing temples and scenery and the food was amazing!
We treated ourselves to a villa on the edge of a jungle. It had an amazing infinity pool that looked over a valley and it was all open plan so we could see the sun coming up in the morning from bed!”
