As wedding photographers in Glasgow we are spoilt for choices for engagements shoots in and out with the city. In this post we are sharing some of our favourites we we chose based on the moment and emotion, the light and the location.
We love doing engagement shoots for so many reasons. Here is a list of reasons why we find it is a good idea to book in for an engagement shoot.
Number 1. For us is getting to know our couples and this is a reason for the 4 of us to get out have some fun and chat.
Number 2. You get to see how we work and how we achieve non posed and natural photos. In turn this will make you feel more relaxed for your photo session on the day…instead of that dread of having to get your photos done. Lets be honest most of us do not get excited at the thought of standing there and getting our photos taken. However, it really isn’t as daunting as you would think.
Number 3. We keep the shooting time to the time we would actually use up on your wedding day which is at the most 30 minutes. Seeing the variety of images you get in that amount of time will keep you at ease and free of worry if things are running a wee bit late on the day. Rest assured we got it! This is the difference between hiring a seasoned wedding photographer as opposed to someone who you are booking just based on a cheaper price. You get experience with what you pay.
Number 4. You get to get all dressed up for this shoot and most of our couples turn it into a date day or evening! A reason to make a day extra special.
Number 5. You can use your photos on your wedding day from the signing book, to save the dates, for a slideshow or just having in frames.
Number 6. You have memories to keep for you both to look back on.
So if you are interested think of a spot that is special to you both and send us a wee message! Finding somewhere with some meaning makes these photos that much more special.
Wee Tip: Why not book in for your make up trial just before your engagement shoot? You will feel even more confident and see how the look translates to your photos.
Finally we just want to send out massive love to those who booked in for an engagement shoot! We had so much fun and you made our job so much more than a job. We are truly lucky to enjoy what we do!
