We have a beautiful sunny wedding at House for an Art Lover on the blog today.
Surprisingly after 10 years of being in the wedding photography business, we had yet to shoot a wedding at this incredible Glasgow city venue! Crazy to think since it’s local to us…as in a 5-minute drive local! So let’s just say we were very excited to shoot here since it’s such an amazing Glasgow gem. I walked Louie passed there every Thursday when he was in baby gymnastics so it has an extra special place in my heart.
As we set out for the day we realised it would be one of those few weddings of the year where the sun splits the sky. It was such a sunny and warm spring day. Couples and guests always enjoy it and so do we as it makes a change. As much as it is fun to have the sun out it’s also challenging but luckily we know how to shoot in that situation.
I have gone into more detail on this below!
Speaking of that sunshine, why do we not mind the bright sunshine when other photographers might be scared of it?
We are experienced professional photographers so we know how to deal with that harsh and bright light! That’s why booking a professional is always recommended.
I know there is a lot going around saying that photographers overcharge. We don’t. We work hard at what we do. We as all of you have bills to pay, but also we trained and studied hard and learnt all the skills we have to deliver memorable photos. So that cheaper photographer is cheaper for a reason and those photographers sadly cheapen the market as a result.
This makes it harder for couples to find a photographer who will deal with different lighting situations & know their stuff. Investing in the photographer who’s photos you love is always the way to go as this is literally the only thing that you will have to remember the day by (and a video if you booked a cinematographer/videographer).
Now don’t get me wrong! That should not stop you from getting an all-star team to deliver a cracking and memorable day for you!!!!
Scroll down for a list of Jeanne and Lee’s amazing team of Scottish wedding suppliers.
As mentioned above Jeanne and Lee had awesome wedding vendors on board!
They booked a bunch of our favourite suppliers to work with!! From Laura Gray’s team to Natalie and Laura from Lemonbox (actually squealed with delight when we noticed they were styling the day!!!!) to Lisa from little cake parlour and Emma from Betty Bluebell!! All of them are our incredibly talented pals! We could not be any prouder to celebrate their work in beautiful photos!! Also a huge shout out to Scott for taking such good care of us! Always makes a huge difference when venues treat us, suppliers, well!!
