One things is for sure, we absolutely adore photographing weddings at your not so known venues like this beautiful wedding in Ayrshires countryside at Shawhill Estate. It’s absolutely breathtaking sitting proud on top of the hill surrounded by beautiful grounds which the wedding took place on. 

When we met up with Rachel and Callum we hit it off right away (as we do with all of our couples) and as we heard more and more about their wedding we kept thinking that we hoped they would choose us for their day! So happy they did! 

Honestly hearing about how Rachel loved trees and wanted to have trees as a running theme!! I was sold from the get go! And it looked amazing! Expertly planned and designed by Laura at LFT Events. Every corner I took excited me from the light bulbs lighting up the wooden walkway up to the marquee! To the old pieces of furniture used as decor, to the actual trees in the marquee! Yes trees!! To the bar which was so impressive, stocked with everything one could possibly imagine! and much more.

The day itself was so beautiful with the most perfect weather. They could not have been any luckier as this really was planned to be a garden wedding. Guests had a ball riding the golf cart up the hill to the festival inspired camp site, practiced their putting skills on the mini putting green, took turns taking photos on a massive chair which oddly did not look out of place, enjoyed a hog roast and goofed around in the VW photo booth!! 

Needless to say their laid back, natural and tree inspired wedding was probably even more than what they had ever envisioned for their day. Rachel and Callum had the time of their lives which is what it should be like. I hope they attack their married life like their wedding day! With simple carefree joy filled with fun, laughter, friends family and ,oat importantly love and each other!
