To say I adored photographing this beautiful  Signet Library wedding is an understatement! From the moment we got an inquiry from Katy and Mark and I googled the venue I was 100% invested with fingers and toes crossed hoping they would book us which they did. Was such a great journey with these two from the beginning.  Have a peek at their engagement shoot which we did in Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. Was such an amazing day for it as well.

Fast forward to their wedding day in May on what was meant to be a rainy dreary day in Edinburgh, but the sun made an appearance and the rain stayed away which was a bonus. I always believe where you get ready is important for wedding morning photos. It’s always great to find a place with a lot of light and open space. It allows us to get a variety of creative shots and room to capture those pre ceremony emotions and moment between everyone. Katy rented a gorgeous apartment in the Lothian Chambers which was just perfect for that! Scott met up with the boys and waited with them through the anticipations of the arrival of the bride! In a beautiful setting like the Library it was absolutely perfect.

As always I love to ask our couples a few questions for the blog.

What were you looking forward to the most on the day of your wedding?

“In terms of the day itself, we were most looking forward to having our lovely family and friends around us to celebrate, eat and dance the night away but the thing we were most looking forward to about being married was that big thing of making it officially official!  Now we have made this huge commitment and are our own little team – a great feeling!”

Was your wedding day as you imagined it to be?

“Our wedding day was better than we could have imagined.  It really was a dream.. the happiest day!  We are so pleased we will have fantastic photos to remember how amazing it was!”
