A beautiful 1920’s inspired winter wedding at Rowallan Castle
Oh winter in Scotland, you really are absolutely beautiful. Crisp, misty dry days reminiscent of the festive period just around the corner. Winter weddings truly are magical. Kirsty and Jamie’s wasn’t anything short of magical.
Kirsty a dark-haired beauty suited her 1920’s inspired look so perfectly with those gorgeous waves and hair off to the side. Teamed with that incredible bouquet, that dress and that fur stole she truly was a sight to behold. Jamie was the perfect match by her side in his smartly matched kilt attire. Looking handsome by his wife’s side it truly was awesome to capture these two on their wedding day at Rowallan Castle.
Rowallan Castle is one of our most favourite venues. It has everything you would need for your wedding day from the castle to the grounds offering plenty of plan b (rain) options, the old castle ruins and the staff are so incredibly accommodating. Liz is on hand before and on the day for couples and suppliers.
Suppliers who treat us as fellow suppliers respectfully and with kindness will always go above and beyond for the bride and groom. These make up some of the reasons which base our opinions on our favourite venues and suppliers. Sadly there are a lot of venues and suppliers out there who treat photographers as pests and people who can “work” 12-14 hours without being fed (NEVER the case…we can’t unless you want hangry and exhausted photographers) but at Rowallan Castle we are treated as equals and we thank them for this and also for working so hard to ensure our couples have the most perfect of days.
