Today I thought I would re-post this gorgeous autumn hand fasting elopement shoot in Scotland!

In 2014 after a few months of planning this happened…a hand fasting elopement inspired shoot in the forest around Rest and be Thankful in Scotland’s beautiful countryside! To say I am thankful for having these surroundings at my doorstep is an understatement. I still have to pinch myself when I venture out of Glasgow and see the beauty of Scotland.

For those who are not familiar with handfasting, you can read this article which tells you all about it. “In the past, a binding of the hands has been associated with couples making a commitment to one another for a year and a day.  Some couples like to use this idea and make their future wedding anniversaries an opportunity to review their relationship and the past year and renew their vows and commitments.  Other couples prefer the ritual as an outer representation of the joining taking place within which can’t be actually seen – the joining of hearts, souls and intentions.”

Thanks to an amazing team of suppliers who made this happen! We had an amazing day combating the monsoon rain and gale force winds! It was rather lovely to top it all off with dinner and drinks at the Loch Fyne Oyster bar!
